Postal History of Fleet
Fleet itself did not have a post office and postmark until the early 1900’s and the local postal office was Hartford Bridge which was on the Western Road, London – Salisbury – Plymouth. (This is per Thomas Gardener’s Survey of Horse Posts of 1677).
